Tohu produces a range of premium quality wines, each exhibiting the strengths of the region they are sourced from: Marlborough for its world class Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Riesling; Gisborne for stunning Chardonnay, and Nelson - one of New Zealand's most exciting emerging wine regions - for aromatic varieties such as Pinot Gris.
Our winemaking philosophy is to create a style of wine we believe best reflects the region and, in particular, captures the very essence of our unique vineyards.
Tohu produces two outstanding ranges of wines, Reserve/Kaumatua and Premium/Taonga.

A Kaumatua is a respected elder of a Maori Whanau or family. Being bestowed with this honour is recognition of the significant contribution a Kaumatua has made to his or her community. Our reserve range is produced from exceptional parcels of fruit, where the wine is considered to be of outstanding quality and reflective of the unique stature of our Kaumatua.
Taonga translates into treasure, something that is prized. Our Taonga range of wines is of premium quality, reflecting the styles of the regions from which they are sourced.
